Course Overview

For Irish industry to make the move to the electrification of heat there are various supports, across a number of state bodies, that are in place to help aid the transition, some of which will be outlined in the presentation as well as some of the policy framework in the area of the electrification of industrial heat.

Course Objectives and Learning Outcomes

Ireland has immense potential for the electrification of heat across the commercial/industrial sectors. Growth seen in renewable electricity in Ireland has not been matched with growth in the electrification of heat, and the expansion of electrification offers many benefits to sectors heavily reliant on largely imported fossil fuels, as well as this electrification offering benefits to the electricity market as a whole.

Much of the Irish Commercial/Industrial can make the switch from fossil fuels to electrification of their heat. To help aid this move there are numerous supports offered for the transition. This webinar will provide attendees information on some of the mechanisms that can be used to make the transition.
