Course Overview
Training on the applications of VR and AR in a real world environment. This programme will provide participants with a fundamental grasp of the possibilities that AR and VR technologies represent and how they can be used in the application of Green Technologies.
Course Objectives and Learning Outcomes
After completing this programme the participant should have a fundamental grasp of the possibilities that AR and VR and how they could be used in the green technology sector. This programme will introduce the enabling technolgies involved and then using case studies from Irish businesses demonstrate the benefits they afford a company, the challenges associated with their implementation and how they can be effectively put to use.

The course is for anyone interested in learning how to apply immersive technologies to their workplace. It course will be especially useful for engineering directors, Design engineers, Innovation/digitalisation managers, maintenance managers, site managers, site supervisors, commissioning engineers and construction managers.

Participants are not expected to be ‘technical’ but rather will be equipped to understand the needs of the organisation and how they can be met through technological solutions. They will be able to incorporate it into their company, and work on the planning and measuring progress in adopting immersive technologies.
About the trainer
Patrick Liddy is an Electrical Engineer by qualification. Later he went on to found Activation Energy, after its acquisition he made the move to immersive technologies when he founded UtilityAR. He now works to provide tailored immersive reality solutions for companies in Ireland and abroad.
