Course Overview
As the business sector makes the move from fossil fuels to cleaner heat and transport, such as trough electrification, loan supports are available to aid this transition. The Strategic Banking Corporation of Ireland (SBCI) provides schemes for SMEs and Small Mid-Caps, with long-term financing to encourage the growth and resilience of their enterprises or improve their performance in terms of climate action and environmental sustainability. This webinar will outline some of the supports currently available from SBCI to support companies investing in their move from fossil fuels. There will be a focus on the energy transition to electrification but with a broader overview of SBCI and their environmental and sustainably schemes.
Course Objectives and Learning Outcomes
The electrification of heat and transport represent available technology in sectors heavily reliant on imported fossil fuels. Supporting businesses making the transition to more sustainable fuels like electrification means greater security of supply for the commercial sector. It means also a cleaner environment and further making better use of the renewable electricity we generate in Ireland. Attendees will gain knowledge of how the SBCI can support them to invest in sustainable technologies with an outline of schemes available and case studies examples of companies already supported to make the transition to more sustainable energy.
