Wind Energy Ireland is delighted to announce our upcoming Driving & Vehicle Safety event which is being held on Tuesday the 19th of November from 10am to 1pm. This in-person event is kindly sponsored by Bord na Móna and Green Tech Skillnet and hosted by LOETB National Construction Training Campus, Mount Lucas in County Offaly.
Attendance is free but capacity is strictly limited so please fill in the booking form to register in advance and avoid disappointment.
The plenary session will begin at 10am sharp with presentations by Barry Keatley from the Virtual Driving Hub, Nicola Walsh from the Road Safety Authority and John Kelly from the National Construction Training Campus. Attendees will then be divided into groups which will rotate through different stations on site for several 30-minute practical sessions, including machine simulators and heavy plant & construction machinery safety talks and demonstrations. Refreshments will be provided on site.
Additional event details will be announced here very soon.
Who should attend?
Registration is open to all WEI members, and we particularly hope to be joined by a varied mix of attendees who can bring safety messaging from the event back to their sites, such as site foremen & supervisors, technicians, drivers etc.
Non-member subcontractors interested in attending can be referred by a WEI member to eabhin.byrne@windenergyireland.com to register interest.
