Funding Eligibility Criteria

The Skillnet Offshore Wind Academy is an enterprise-led network facilitating the workforce and development needs of the Irish renewable energy industry. The network is co-funded by Skillnet Ireland and Network companies. Skillnet Ireland is funded through the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation, and Science.

Eligibility Criteria

Key requirements regarding the eligibility of businesses to participate in funding

• Companies must be private enterprises based in the Republic of Ireland.

Sole traders are eligible as Companies.

Commercial semi-state companies are eligible providing that income contributed to a Network is not sourced from the public purse.

• Skillnet Ireland funding is not available to public sector bodies or organisations that are publicly funded such as community-based not-for-profit companies or charities.

If your organisation does not qualify for subsidised fees, there is the option to enrol under the full course fee. For queries, please contact training@skillnetoffshorewindacademy.ie.

Key requirements regarding the Trainees

You must be currently employed within private enterprise in the Republic of Ireland. This includes full-time and part-time employees.

• Participation depends on your employer funding your place on the course.

• Skillnet Offshore Wind Academy is required to collect data on the profile of trainees and record this data for Skillnet Ireland.
